So somehow stumbling around the internet I found a recipe for smurfberry cookies. I love little gimmick-y things like this. Taking one thing and calling it another. Actually I think it was my obsession with the smurf's village app that caused me to be searching the internet for smurf-related pages.
Ok so anyways, back to cookies. The recipe was similar to the one I use for baking "light chocolate chip cookies" so I actually just recycled that recipe and just used the smurferries (dried cherries) and white chocolate chips.
3/4 cup packed brown sugar
1/4 cup white cane sugar
6 tbs butter
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
1 egg white
3 tbsp water
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
3/4 tsp baking soda
3/4 cup white chocolate chips (I used Ghirardelli and it makes a difference)
1 cup smurfberries (you can use dried cranberries, cran-raisins, cherries)
Like I said earlier, I used dried cherries. They just sounded like they would taste the best to me, but probably any dried berry would work just fine.
I threw together the 6 tablespoons of butter with the white and brown sugars and let the mixer cream that up well, before adding the vanilla extract, egg white and water.

Next was time to mix in the flour, baking soda and salt - and mix until it was smooth and creamed.
Next to add the smurfberries and the white chocolate chips. Preheated the oven to 350°

Next I lined a baking sheet with parchment paper and dropped the batter on the sheet in heaping spoonfuls.

These baked for about 10 minutes, maybe a few minutes more. It all depended on how they looked. I always think it's better for cookies to be a little under-baked and gooey than to be hard teeth-breakers.

Wow, never heard of this but sounds/looks delicious. Totally trying this one out soon.
